Shaw Laminates offers residential products in 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star categories.
They carry 10-year, 15-year, and 20-year warranties, respectively, for Shaw Laminate products used in dry,
interior residential applications.
3-Star - 10 years
4-Star - 15 years
5-Star - 20 years
What does the Shaw Laminate Flooring Limited Warranty cover?
Shaw Industries, Inc., warrants that for the time period of the particular product category,
which begins from the date of original purchase, your Shaw Laminate Floor:
- will not stain
- will not wear through the decorative surface
- will not fade as a result of direct sunlight or artificial light
- will resist damage caused by water under normal use conditions (4- and 5-Star products only)
- will be free of manufacturing defects
What you should do if you need warranty service?
You should notify the authorized Shaw Laminate Flooring dealer from which the original purchase was made,
of any defect no later than 30 days after discovering the defect but within the time period of the applicable limited warranty.
You must present to that authorized Shaw Laminate Flooring dealer the following items for a warranty claim to take place:
- a valid proof of purchase in the form of a sales receipt or other documents.
- a detailed description of the problem and or a photograph/sample that clearly shows the problem.
What Shaw Industries will do if you need warranty service:
If Shaw Industries, Inc. honors a claim under this limited warranty, it will repair or replace, at its option,
the affected flooring material. If professionally installed, Shaw Industries will pay the reasonable labor costs to perform
the replacement or repair during the first 5 years from the original purchase. In the event that the design installed in the home
is no longer available, Shaw Industries, Inc. will authorize your dealer to replace the affected floor with another design of equal value.
The above remedy is the customer's sole and exclusive remedy for claims under this warranty.
