FAQ   -   Laminate   -   Installation

Can I install a laminate floor on top of existing flooring material?

Laminate flooring can be installed over most existing floors, for example, vinyl, hardwood, ceramic, VCTtile, and carpet. Provided that height of each flooring material do not exceed over the door thresh holds.

If carpet is the existing material, you need to pay attention to the carpet padding. Any short-fiber without thick carpet padding is all right. For carpet installed over thick padding, it is recommended to remove both the underlayment foam and the carpet.

If the carpet was laid directly over a concrete floor, all types of carpet and underlayment foam must also be removed.

* Taking up existing floor is not easy and doing it yourself is time-consuming. Leave hard job to K&K Floors Wholesale, and just enjoy your the elegance, beauty and warmth of your new floor.
